Contest Hi-Res View is now Full View

Since we changed to 750 pix wide default contest view, it was time to change the contest hi-res view too. From now on contest hi-res view shows all entries in full view.
Example - last Week in Pictures contest in hi-res view.

Every default contest view has a link to hi-res contest view, stating
[ browse this contest gallery in high resolution ]

or [ browse hi-res] (says so on the site front page)

Enjoy!

Now can we get submissions to size 750 x whatever, Anything over that looks like a blob or I can only see half the picture on my monitor, with so many great digital artist here, it's only the jury that continues to get the voting right each time. Here's an Idea lets limit each contest to the 30 best pix's as picked by the jury, and no more then two pix's per Artist each contest, IE Freak show 44 to 60 per week? give me a break.

Hmmm, do you mean to say that even in standard contest view (750 pix wide) you only see about half of each picture on your monitor?
E.g.
last Week in Pictures contest in default view (750 pix wide)

What's your monitor resolution (width by hight in pixels)?

The site is growing, thus the higher submission numbers. Freak Show is just one example we have many regular contests with high submission numbers.

Not sure if limiting the submissions would do more good than bad. Sure it'll be easier to vote on less entries but the other side of this coin is that members won't be able to submit more chops even if they come up with more than 2 great chops per contest.

Ahh, hi res shows then in full size indeed! Some scrolling may be needed there. This view is optional for people who have higher resolution monitors or dont mind some scrolling.

But the default view shows the 750 pix wide pictures and should be viewed by all without any scrolling.

I seem to have to scroll on a few of them. I don't mind as long as there is a nearly full screen image available so that I can see the whole overall chop and it's impact in that form as in default.

Limiting chops or not to limit. Damn good question. It's problematic because we have several different layers of "GOOD."
I could be way off base but it seems to me that it is going to be rare if not a fluke that a select few choppers like Rainman entering many multiple submissions is going to be fast and good enough to grab a cup or two simply because the chops that generally win aren't quickies. So, on one line of logic we can figure the guy that submits 10 chops is pretty damn good but maybe not as comitted to excellence as the super AAA class people so will be around the top 4 placing with a lot of his chops, thus reducing the prospect of other guys in his same class to get higher placement? I didn't say that too well but maybe you get what I mean.
It's one thing to kind of go apathetic because the bar seems so high set by super choppers but a whole thing yet again when you are overwhelmed out of the contest by some fellow with a zillion chops that is in your same weight class.
So, in that instance I see the wisdom of the gripe to limit submissions. It would level the field at that level of play. But undercutting that I see just getting a lot better than that multi submitter is maybe a better solution, so that player ain't a threat to you anymore.
Either viewpoint is valid I guess and a decision to limit would have to be weighed with considerable thought to consequences.
Some choppers obviously have a lot of fun by slugging out the multiples much to the angst of the slower guys hahahahaha
