Clearer Titles Needed for Entries

We are doing some search engine optimization and we need help from all
active submitters:
When you name your entries, titles are very important for search
engines (especially for google image search).
The maximum title length is 38 characters, so please try to make
longer titles consisting of clear words
separated by spaces.

General guidelines for naming your entries are:

1) Make a Title consisting of 2-6 clear words, describing the
contents/essence of your image

2) Always separate words by spaces. E.g. use:
Race Car
instead of
RaceCar

3) Avoid using made-up nonexisting words (e.g. do not use Fatney
instead of Britney)

4) Try to make the title specific rather than general. E.g. If your
entry features a known person/object/city/activity, put his/its name
in the title.

Example of good title for some imaginary entry:
Bill Gates acting as James Bond

Example of bad title for some imaginary entry:
Gates_Bnd

Regarding made-up words: while they look funky, made up words are
absolutely useless for search engines.

Let's review the imaginary entry showing fat Britney Spears. Good
title would be
Fat Britney Spears
, while bad one (made up word) would be
Fatney Spears
or even worst
Fatney

Think of it in such terms: There are people who search for "Britney
Spears" (clear title) every day, but there are hardly any who search
for "Fatney". That said, it does not mean that you should be guided by
what's popular in creating your entry. Trust us, there are searches
for absolutely any topic and words you can think of. So once you make
a clear title following the guidelines, you will sooner or later amuse
some people who search for the keywords in your title, and will also
help the site grow.

P.S. We may change titles of some of the past entries to follow the
above guidelines. So if you see some of your titles changed - that's
just us, doing some search engine optimization

Thanks!

The invasion of the Googlesnatchers.....

TBS I think it's a very good idea. And I guess, you can give it your "Artist Title" in the Author's Comment.

Is there a way we can change the old titles into new ones ourselves? So we can help?

Yes, if you go through your own entries and change the titles that would help a lot. I will not change titles which are already good by the above guidelines

Members/Jurors aren't allowed to Edit their entries after contest closing. Is there another way they could change their entries names?

In your reflection what do you see? False fault or a masterpiece? But a masterpiece starts with a single stroke and empires start in an open field.
