Voting/membership Expansion via Facebook page

Hi FNer's

Voting and participation is limited these days. Yet we have a Facebook Page with 179,000 'Likes' Which is traffic that would be notified when the page is updated anytime. The last entry onto the page by FN is November 2017.

Surely it could be possible to utilise the page to link the PAGE members into the voting system on FN and join in competitions. Instagram, Twitter other options that can be utilised to get more traffic.

Folks join all the time PShaveyouseenthis, several this month, and listed Facebook as their referral also listed for referrals are: Twitter, School, Web, Google, etc. They join and you never know it because most don't participate after signing up. I would like to see more of our active members that aren't entered, help out with the voting duties to make the contest competitive and fair.

i think if you enter a contest you should be required to vote - or your chop is disqualified from getting a trophy. Paul Ross, god love him, never voted and won time and time again. It disappointed me, because he TOOK votes, but didn't GIVE votes and he had high karma. I do not vote all the time, but if I were required to vote for my chop to stand a chance, I would.

And I am just the reverse, I think that if your in the contest you shouldn't vote. To much of a temptation to vote in ways that one may think will alter the outcome in their favor.

Karma is supposed to stop that, Gummy. But the workaround is to not vote at all. Then you don't confer your justified votes on competitors. If they have karma at all, they should require you vote in the contest if you enter. You don't have to vote if you're not in the contest already, duh. If you choose to participate, you need to do it all the way. I think it's cheating to let others vote for you and then withhold your vote power from others.

Yes it is supposed to but that is all too easy to manipulate as well.

It was a popular thing back in the Worth1000 days. Low ball the good stuff and high vote the bad stuff. in the end you take no Karma his because of the adv. vote.
