It would be interesting to see how many copies they have sold?

I requested numbers sold from that one store but manager didn't have figures " to hand".

They are selling in several sizes from very large on a fancy mirror frame to smaller sizes. I actually signed the picture with my initials and date on bottom right corner which they have omitted to crop out the largest versions lol

That is a shame. Great image. I can see why.
Nobody ever copies my stuff. I don't know whether to be offended or happy.
But of course I really don't check

John, that would burn me up to find my art being sold without consent. Is the image quality of the prints good? If so, how did they get such a high resolution file of your art? I had one of my digital illustrations stolen from my deviantArt account over a year ago because I didn't watermark my images back then. A stranger notified me that he saw my art being sold on a Canadian site being sold on t-shirts and hoodies. I got the site to remove it because I proved to them I was the original creator. I also contacted the seller that had uploaded the art and got some BS story that he "purchased" a lot of art from a 3rd party and was told he was allowed to sell it. He apologized and removed it but not after profiting about $300. I hate watermarking my images but sometimes that is the only way to protect our work. Good luck.

Thanks. Sometimes I see my stuff used as editorial fluff and included in some collection of art somebody likes but I haven't seen anybody profiting. I do however have a T-Shirt deal in the works with a company that does T shirts in the US. Yay, go America. We'll finally be making something again hahahahah.
I sign everything so that may be why the pirates steer clear of me or maybe it is just dumb luck ??? I sold prints some years ago at art shows and fairs in a kiosk type set-up but the economy was still licking its wounds. It was somewhat successful but would certainly be better now. But I am too tired, disabled and not as ambitious as I was then. LOL So licensing the rights is where I am at. But with chops, if you do that, you must be free and clear of any other potential copyright claims from recognizable sources in your chops. That is why I always recommend working the source past recognition but don't always apply that rule to myself so much anymore. I've gotten a bit lazy. Good luck, you know, rather than demand they pull your picture in the future, why not negotiate a deal with the creeps for a limited, one time use? That way the work stays out there. Just demand your signature gets applied and it is purposed for that one size, one press run only. They get 10 signed APs and you get...ummm well 50 sounds like a fair number. Those you can sell or give away at your discretion. They have ten to keep or use to promote you. There are zillions of ways to negotiate a deal with these guys. Your leverage is they DO NOT WANT TO GO TO COURT. LOL

The image quality is pretty good on the smaller versions and on the huge ones they have printed it on a textured fake canvas back ground to cover up the inevitable loss of image quality .im about to hit them with a lawyers letter as they are still just ignoring me. Glad I did mark the image now.

-Oh yeah. It needs to be free and clear. Just as a precaution I would spend a few bucks, snap a picture and include andy records on disk and send it off for copyright. I have heard that copywriting your stuff is a waste od money because the minute you complete it you have copyright. While all that is well and true, holding up a government issue copyright in court is a damn hard thing to argue
