Great job Newsy ! The new Stats page is terrific now by showing contest images and being able to sort them ... much better than the old graph and text listing.

One item that has been missing that I would like to see restored is the View Leaders for ENDED contests. It is very convenient to scan this window of contest results rather than having to scroll through all the contest images.

Thanks, GRM!

Makes sense about the View Leaders for ended contests. I brought it back

No offense, but I prefer the graph and stats (you could click on any one you wanted to go see it), over having all the images. This new design only seems good for those that want to look at all their entries again (at one time). Everyone has their own opinions, right?

I understand, Bob. And thank you for your honest opinion.
Maybe we'll have an option for the way the stats page is displayed in the future. I don't know yet.

Yes..I think I'm going to like this new stats page...
The SORT BY filter really makes the new design work for me.

What are the chances of getting those message input boxes to expand vertically, so one can proof read what they've just typed.

Thanks, SS! The input boxes are a challenge atm. If we make them vertically expandable, the problem of "double click" will come back when you would actually have to click twice to submit a comment - once to shrink the box and twice to actually submit a comment. I expect to get back to this issue in about a month when the whole sits is totally moved to a new design.

Well how hard would it be to just add the graph to the new page between the trophies and the pics? Then you would have the best of both worlds.

First thing, this graph looks so oldish and amateur for the current days of web design. I can't control the way it looks too much (only can control some things like data and font) since it's a third party library and it comes not too cheap too. Second, I don't really see a point in it, as most entry titles there are overlapping and it looks way messy. It does not show the scores correctly too - it can only show you the relative position of the scores to each other.

I can understand when a member prefers the stats data arranged as a text table (like Bob) but hard for me to understand why they need a messy graph on top of it too. I suppose some members feel that it should be there because they are so used to it through the years.

Dear Vlad,

Where is the button to submit comments on the contest pages. I wanted answer someone but I couldn't find it. I pushed the enter key, but it just scrolled the text box.

Thank You.

Dear Tracy,
When you are on the contest pages, there's one Submit button at the bottom - it submits any of your comments and votes on the page and forwards you to the next page. If you just want to comment on one particular entry, you may simply click trough to the entry page and comment from there.

To belabor the comment function some more, it does not seem necessary to have a separate Entry Info page to add comments and an alert/flag notice. This page does display 8 other smaller contest images at a time, and you can click on them to enlarge, vote and comment, and then return to click on other entries by the same method, although this is rather tedious and time consuming.

I prefer to just use the Contest Page to scroll to view, vote and add comments on each entry, and not use the Edit link or the button at the bottom.

It seems that you could easily activate the Comment Box on the Contest Page and simply add the alert/flag text link along with the other options. JMO.

There should be a Reply Submit button next to the Text Box.

Tracy, the long form of comments/votes with common submit button at the bottom of the contest pages is designed for submitting all comments/votes at once - it saves time compared to going to each entry page and commenting/voting there entry by entry.

If you just want to comment on one particular entry, you may simply click trough to the entry page and comment from there.

But if you absolutely wish to use the contest long form to comment just one entry, you need to scroll down till the end of the page to use the submit button, and it will post your comment (with up to 5 minute delay due to caching).

You can reply to any comment under entry by clicking reply - it will hop you to the message box under that entry, and after you fill your comment in you will need to scroll down to the end of the page to click the big submit button.

Not sure what you mean by new stats symbols - we only had some icons renewed but they are pretty obvious - gold, silver, etc... and same thing for apprentice medals (gold, silver, etc.).

Do you mean some icons (please specify which ones) or something else?

Medals are trophies of the apprentice contests. We had medals before for the apprentice contests, but they just looked a tad different. If you hover over each icon it should show you the text description about it.

Not sure in what sense it was easier, since the functionality did not change, only the looks changed.
Take a look at any contests in full view (e.g. this recent contest ) - they still feature the old design for now, and tell me what's the difference in submitting comments there.
