Sticky controls on the enlarged page and standard format page, both the scrollable entries (Gang of all connected entries) and the pages where you click the arrow to advance or view prior. Call me if you need to.

I did more tweaking, please try again and see if the problem is there.

Depressed. everything is sloooooooooooow or completely frozen. I checked several other sites and no probs, just here. I was thinking maybe my anti-virus software-Bitdefender is interfering but why would it not anywhere else.? Maybe just sign me completely out and then back in? From your end. I have always had the problem where the sign-in page asks me to sign in when I am already signed in permanently. Then if I simply click any page and bring that up, it recognizes me as signed in. I've had that glitch for at least 5 years but it wasn't any big deal. However now it only recognizes me after 10 or twenty tries. Still, hope springs eternal, Boss. I have cleaned cache and cookies dozens of times by the way to no avail. I even tried coming in on an old cached page I found on a link... I got here via that but only to the front page. Mostly what the problem is, is I click my favorites tab for FN and it just spins in the add window and says "waiting for freakingnews.com to respond. 1 out of 10 times it does connect. But then pretty much freezes on the front page. I tried explaining the prob from enough angles so hope it reveals something. Thanks

Thank you for the tips. Bitdefender is my antivirus and is pretty excellent. Plus it is paid for on all our machines. I won't be changing that anytime soon. It says this machine is clear of any infections ATM. I have several sites I visit even more than FN and there is no problem. My only difficulty is here. However this site seems to be running much better AYM. I came here through the e-mail notification and the sit is a bit sluggush but nothing like it was earlier. I use IE right now, any reason to change that as the default. I do have Google chrome and can switch over if need be. Thank you very much.

Please try switching to Chrome and see if makes a difference. by the way, do you use Windows XP? XP is very outdated and vulnerable, and Microsoft is stopping all support for XP as of this year , meaning no more security updates will be issued. Last but not least, you cant install modern browsers in Windows XP and the old browsers do not support all features of the new design we have (as well as many other sites have).

And sorry to say but IE is the most horrible browser I know - it is slow and things look bad in IE. The best ones are Chrome, FireFox and Opera.

Don't know what you are doing with the site, but could not get on yesterday until very late, and then it came up in chunks, and very slowly. Today I an get on, but it is still coming up in chunks, and extremely slow, and could not even get page four of this thread to come up. Maybe that is where this is all talked about?

Bob said it pretty well!!!!
I use windows 8, Vlad and it is the same thing on google chrome. I just tested it, real slow and initially when the site finally does come up you just see the raw form/script commands where all the nav controls go

I just found out that our hosting company is doing "network upgrades" without even warning us that it would cause connectivity issues. So that is probably what's causing it

Please try loading their main site - it does not even load for me at all:
http://www.sagonet.com

Does it load for you?

Ditto for me on all the display cliches described above. Seems to have started late Monday or early Tuesday for me. I've tried IE, Firefox and Chrome ... have installed and re-reinstalled several times ... same result, but slow and erratic display only on FN, not on any other websites.

Interestingly, I find that, for me, IE is far better for FN than Firefox is.

It's all caused by the hosting company "network issues" that they are having since Monday. They promise every day that it'll be fixed asap. I am so sick of them and made plans to move to another company.

Could you guys please post and say if theissue is still there for you? The hosting company tells us they fixed everything, but I find it too hard to believe. Though the site loads fine for me personally.

Still problems. Very slow to load the home page, and (today) the picture of the day is the only thing qlitching (like an old tv that only comes in a few lines at a time, but from the top). Switching to the community page, when it comes up, it only has two titles to pick from, but when I clicked on general, the forum box eventually came up. When I clicked on page 4 of this thread, it opened, but (and this might be the cause of the problems) only the first two posts showed, and on the right of the page I noticed the gray bar went almost completely from the top to the bottom of the screen. After another wait, the bar shrank and the whole page became visible.

When I hit the reply button (the first try) it just went back to the two titled community page. I clicked the site name and went back to home page (which still worked the same), then back to community (same stuff). Tried reply button once more. Went back to title page again, but started flickering. After a short time of this, the reply box did show up, and this is my response (hopefully it goes through (ha?).

For me it loads fast too, but it seems many US users have issues. It really depends on the geo location of a user, since only part of the network of our hosting company is "upgraded" (or degraded, to say correctly).

Thanks for the update Bob. From what I can see, there has been *some* improvement in connectivity (though not a complete one). It should gradually be back to normal within the next couple of days. Meanwhile, please bear with us.

What Bob said was exactly what happened to me today in the forums.

I'm finding the contests the hardest to open....in fact, I'm writing this as I wait for the Animal Costume contest to load fully with all entries.

Some of the contest images and the thumb images down the side are still loading.....after 5 minutes....so it's very slow for me.

I might have a slower internet connection than most however,...so I might be noticing it more.

Oooh, it just finished loading....it took 7 minutes for me....

The site was mega fast for me a couple of weeks ago however. But yeh.....I don't believe they have ironed out all the kinks server wise yet either Vlad!

No change here, Vlad. Laptop, PC... whatever I try to connect with... front page minimum of 5 minutes to load and takes another 5 mins for the contests I select to come up and every time I go off the site and come back in... same wait. Forget comments... takes an eternity. Also it makes me log in each time and that sometimes happens and sometimes not. More often the site locks up. It might be time to fire your host. They are causing a lot of crap. I rand anti-virus and a few adware programs to the point where this computer is squeaky clean. Prob remained. And even thought it might have been my Proxy so I ditched my old IE and reloaded a brand new one... There was no change. Tell those people I want to send them a bill for wasting my time if they don't get their ---- together. LOL Man. Good luck my friend, it has to be driving you as mad as it is me... us... Cheers
