memories

Seeing the Dali example picture brought back memories. It made me think about one of the greatest: hygglobert.

I remember him once saying (well remember, I had to look it up again )

No NewsMaster - No Freakingnews.
No Freakingnews - No Fun.
No Fun - No Life

So does this mean he is living a miserable, sad, boring life?

I thought the same thing when I saw the picture.....it's one of his chops isn't it.

Good old Hygglo and his amazing chops...especially the ones where he mangled himself in some way

Good eye, liltim. The thumbnail for Dail contest is indeed from Hygglobert's entry.
Hygglo is an FN icon and will always stay in our freaking hearts. Last time I spoke with him he had to discontinue his participation at FN as he was busy working as designer for advertising company during the day, and ran his personal designer business at night. Plus he has a family, so his free time was getting very limited. I still think he will return some day, like Meert did

Hygglo actually co-authored a book, where he introduces himself as freakingnews.com artist.

Nice find. Didn't know about the german version. Thinking about getting back in the game - anything new I should know about?

HYGGY! You lost mighty awesome to see you again! It's been ages!

How have you been? You still work at the same place? Last I remember you accepted a position at design agency (ads, DVD covers etc).

Lots of new talent here at FN, as you might have seen. We've also been featured in many magazines and media.

I'm great, thank you. Yes, I'm at the same design agency (mostly developing communication concepts for the pharma industry) - so still being busy as a creative. Since last time; I tested creating in concrete, doing a poetry/images coffeetable book with my brother and I moved to a house on the country side (didn't see that coming though).

Dropped it (still keeping patrikland.com). Doing business chopping was taking all the fun out of it. I still do some charity chopping, but I don't see me running a business on my own anymore doing chopping - so I killed it in favour of having more fun.

Good ole Hygglo as we know you - trying new things in life!

as for the site, I understand the reasons. I would still keep it and redirect the visitors to patrikland.com

I liked your concrete Mario creation!

Looking forward to seeing your chop here whenever you find a time!
