Speaking English

I don't know who of the players here is English or speaks English natively and who doesn't. In the recent "English Idioms" contest, I didn't think very many entries actually were idioms or understood the idea of the contest at all, but so what, not a big deal. I think maybe it's about communication and with chops it's the communication of skills and humor, not language.

But with titles of contests? I admit it matters to me, so I'm irked by the title of the current new contest. "YOUR fired" means "fired" belongs to him. "You're fired" means "you are fired" which is what it should be called. I wonder if contractions are a particulary hard thing for non-native speakers to understand, sort of like the trouble I have with how in French they drop sounds and letters and throw words together makes it hard for me. Who is in charge of this and could we have it fixed, please?
