Superheroes in History - Confused

Hello Guys,

First of all, Let me tell you that I am not pointing out or degrading any of our friends entries.

This contest "Superheroes in History" is totally confusing me as it has many entries that are not fitted to the rules. Kellie and Hobbit has pointed out some entries but when i am come to vote, i totally confusing that how much ratings will give to that image as the image doesn't fit and if I give it less ratings my karma will be down.

If you guys [Admins or Moderators], are monitoring these contests, why any actions are not taking. If that image fits which has got some comments like "He is not super hero or No super heros in the contest" then you should reply to that comment that this entry fits according to the contest.

By this we can vote fairly without any confusion.

Sorry if any one hurts. Just sharing my thoughts.

Seriously krrish, just use your best judgement when voting.

If it's clearly not a superhero as the contest stated (and by that, I mean someone not commonly recognized as one) then don't vote as highly on those which you don't think fit those directions.

I see some super hero villains, but I think they probably fit the theme (depending on who's side you are on I guess, lol)

It's just one of those contests.....sometimes easy directions seem to be interpreted in ways which we don't anticipate....so when there's quite a few entries that might not be totally within the boundaries, all you can do is just vote a bit higher for the ones "you think" best fit the directions.

Ok.....

Krrish, it's one of those contests where I'm sitting here at the computer at the moment shaking my head thinking "how could those directions be confusing".....lol

Don't stress about your karma.....if you vote fairly every contest, even if you lose some every now and then....it always goes straight back up again

I do'nt feel to bad about it , because its just good excercise for me to Chop, Chop , Chop , Superhero or Supervillain .LOL , Relax folks ,Like Mac writes , just use your best judgement !!!!

It often happens that with a broad interpretation of the contest rules some members interpret them broader than others.
As Mac said, use your best judgement in voting.
I always vote one or two points lower if I feel the chop is not following the directions. But in the end, if some entry that I feel does not follow the contest rules wins a trophy, it means that we either did not write the directions clear enough (or narrow enough) OR that the majority of the members found it fitting the directions, and you have to respect the opinion of the community.

Well, the contest directions had a link to the contest inspiration images, and on having a look at that I can see that there's a few with Darth Vader, who wouldn't be classified in the regular "superhero" genre and is certainly a villain.

So this might have opened the door to some of the villain entries....and possibly to others roping in "anyone" with super powers under the "superhero" umbrella.

I think most people understood the instructions in the way "they were meant"...but in contests like this letting the majority decide is the best way....and let people vote for who they thought best fit the superhero directions.....(and that goes for the ones that weren't historical "photos"....)

Sometimes the best entries in a contest are the ones that take a different--slightly off kilter---interpretation of the instructions. If the admins want to limit people's interpretation---then they should take care to word the instructions accordingly. In this case, Superhero was left undefined, so any interpretation must be held as valid. The voters can decide if they like the alternate interpretation.

The supplied thread to the Artist Agan Harahap showed Darth Vader and the joker which definitely gave the impression baddies were cool. Though Captain America chatting to Himmler by a prisoner of war camp, and Vader walking past dead bodies was I know not What FN condones. Spiderman was cool though. as for following contest directions, I find it frustrating too but majority rules.

Well,

the problem here is just voting that shall we give more or less, If we give marks on the work, It doesn't matter about the Instructions.
