There is no answer. It depends on compression, file format, DPI and other things. If you wanna know how many pixel in a Photo, right click - Properties - then go to the midle window the click on advanced (if its not clicked) then you'll see how many Pixels, in the Resolution !
the More pixels, the more higher resolution, the more data stored in the picture, the more clean and smooth details, specially in gradient colors ! KB is just a file size, it doesn't necessarily have to do with how big the photo/picture actually is. The colors and detail of the picture have a lot to do with the size of the file. The answer is Google it.

As Ho House said KB's don't give a true idea of size.
If you go by screen size for instance a 17 inch one is 1440 x 990 pixels.
Pick an image on Google larger than 1600 pixels wide open it in CS4 or any other version. Then click image size. For printing you would need the image to be 300 resolution. For use on screen 72 resolution is fine.
When you have got your picture ready it needs to be roughly 14 inches across if landscape and 12 inches deep. Portrait about 12 inches wide 14 inches deep. 72 resolution, This is just a rough guide.
Then under file go to save for the web. This will tell you how many kb's the picture is. To get it under 350 kb you beed to use the slider on the right. Go between 65 and 100 % to get a good result. Then save it using a new title to save confusion. Close it. Then close the original.
