|  Age proves to be no barrier whatsoever as a 70 year old man scales Everest. The Japanese climber reportedly has now climbed Mount Everest, making his the oldest person yet to make the summit. A five member team, including Takao Arayama, reached the summit on Wednesday morning. The organizer of the climb was Tokyo based Adventure Guides. Arayama actually was only three days older than the Japanese man whose record to the top he surpassed. Arayama is 70 years, 7 months and 13 days of age. He surpassed the record of Yuichiro Mirua, a professional skier, who made it to the mountain's top in May of 2003. |
