Barcodes
Contest Directions: Today, the usual Google logo has been replaced by the ubiquitous black-and-white barcode design to celebrate the 57th anniversary of the first barcode patent. On October 7, 1952, inventors Norman Woodland and Bernard Silver were granted the first patent for their invention. Barcodes in some countries had a radical makeover. Many Japanese supermarkets use barcodes blended with some creative art on UPC labels. No matter how artistic they are, such barcodes are still functional, and consumers seem to like them much better than the old boring ones.
Photoshop barcodes any way you wish. Some examples are: add some art to barcodes as in the creative examples here; shape them into something, blend barcodes with objects, architecture, animals, paintings, etc.
